1.0 out of 5 stars THIS PRODUCT IS UNSAFE
This teapot is prone to catching on fire. That's right-it will fill your kitchen with toxic black smoke. The head, tail, and connecting handle are all made of plastic, and the round shape of the kettle encourages gas burner flames to roll right up the side. Perhaps it should be used on electric ranges only.
Oh yeah--its ugly too.

1.0 out of 5 stars Whistling Tea Kettle-Rooster, June 16, 2010

The Whistling Tea Kettle-Rooster DOESN'T WHISTLE. It MOANS. The "Rooster" Cap
hinge is flimsy. We would like to return it but haven't been able to determine
what protocols to use. The value (at $44.00+ with shipping) does not compare
favorably with similar products in the market ranging from $10- $24.00 in terms of
quality--and the ability to whistle. It's cute--but is now in the pantry
awaiting disposal.

Shoddy workmanship -- the interior had chips of the material sliding around and yet the kettle had never been used! The whistle didnt really work. Still waiting for our refund and it has been more than four weeks! Avoid this company!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute kettle with a great sound, November 28, 2010

This is a fantastic kettle with a quirky design that will liven up any kitchen, but its best feature is its whistle; rather than the irritating, shrill shriek of your average stove top kettle, this emits a rather pleasant, low croon not unlike a relaxed train whistle. In fact, I'll sometimes let the kettle boil for a few moments, rather than leaping to my feet to remove it from the heat. Highly recommended.

I love my new teapot. I've named her Henrietta Clucker. Previously I had a fish teapot and his name was Sebastian. Henrietta starts me off every day with a cup of tea. Thank you.

A wonderful, whimsical tea kettle. My mom had been looking for one that could double as a conversation piece. She previously had a cow tea kettle for years and it had come time for a new one. I actually bought her a Calphalon tea kettle but she prefers this one far more. The design is great, water boils fast, and the whistle is loud and clear. No complaints here! This looks very cute in her little country-style kitchen.
