3.0 out of 5 stars Good Flashlight
This is a nice flashlight, but the clip broke very easily. That's why I am rating it with 3 stars. Otherwise it is well built.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing bright pocket light, May 10, 2007
I needed a small compact light that I could carry around with me at all times. Something that would not attract notice clipped to my belt under my shirt, tiny enough to fit into some of the smaller pockets in my cargo shorts/pants. At the same time I wanted something bright enough to find something I dropped at night in a field, or illuminate someone standing in the dark well out of arms reach. This little torch definitely does the job. It pumps out amazing amounts of light for such a little beast. In fact it seems equally as bright as my full sized SureFire Z2 Combatlight, and brighter than my full sized MagLite. It's ruggedly constructed and easy to use. Mine even has a downsized version of the crenellated Strike Bezel(tm), which is a nice added feature. It's the kind of light I'd give to my daughter or wife to throw the light of day on any would be stalker.

A great little light, I recommend it. I am not sure how fast it eats batteries, I will try and update this review later as it see more use.

Safety first,
EW

5.0 out of 5 stars one of the most useful lights I own, February 27, 2008

The Surefire E1E I own probably gets more use than any other flashlight. It is not bright enough for defense, running about 15 lumens, but as a handy go anywhere flashlight it is superb. I have carried mine for hour long patrols in the rain in Japan and all over the middle east and it has never hiccuped. And if it did I know from experience that Surefire's customer service is second to none. You will pay more for this light then an el cheapo from the local superstore but what you get is a good run time and utter reliability. It won't fall apart of fail you when you need it most, the only down point this light has is the bulb which like all bulbs burns out eventually. Surefire has remedied this with their new LED version though. You can't go wrong with this one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good light but expensive battery, August 19, 2007
By
Works great, I sold couple of them to my freinds and also reffered it as well. The battery is expensive to replace and I dont know if it will accept rechargable CR123A battery. Other than that its a awosome light and beats any other lights in its size. No wonder it cost more because it offers more. Nice job surefire!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little flashlight - if you can afford it...., September 13, 2009

This review is from: Surefire E1E Executive Elite Single-Output Incandescent Flashlight (Sports)
I bought this little flashlight after reading a review for it on Kevin Kelly's Cool Tools (highly recommended blog covering useful items of all sorts). It's just great. The handfeel is so comfortable. It's tiny yet very intense. I took it apart to check out the internals and seat the battery, and every component is precision made and very, very strong. The components are sealed with captive o-rings with a light lubricant and clearly intended to be waterproof. I have not tested it in water, but I would not have any qualms about doing so.

It looks and feels for all the world as though you could run over it with a car without damaging it. There is a very sturdy clip on the side, as is clear from the photo; what I can tell you is it's solid as a rock. When you receive the unit, your first impulse will be, like me, to try to turn it on with the rubberized pushbutton switch on the tail end. It won't work. You first have to screw the unit tightly together. It ships slightly unscrewed so the battery will not discharge.

The finish is very nice looking hard anodized and will be very scratch resistant. Bottom line: it's expensive but if you can spring for it, you won't be disappointed. My first one went to Singapore with me, where my associate there fell so deeply in love with it that I had pity on him and gave him mine. I ordered the replacement off Amazon immediately. You will be hard pressed to find me without one from now on.

5.0 out of 5 stars loved it, November 19, 2011
I bit the bullet and got one of these little guys and it was amazing. super small and bright. batteries are expensive though and battery life is short because of how bright it is so it's not really an every day flashlight.

This is my 3rd surefire. I usually carry the Defender but since getting the little exec it's been my every day carry light and I love it. small, and powerful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little light, November 15, 2010
This is the best light that I've seen for its size. I carry it with me wherever I go. Fits nicely in my front pocket along with my keys.
