Some minor complaints:
No hole or loop for lanyard. In some environments you need to attach flashlights to keep them from rolling or falling into cracks or crevices or wells or the ocean. Just no way to attach anything.
Back switch can be accidentally activated and the front serration doesn't let enough light escape to see during the day or in partial light if you leave it head down on a table. I wish the button switch required more force so I wouldn't turn this on during the day. If you turn it on accidentally in a pocket you will eventually figure that out when it gets hot which leads use to...
On high output, will get hot and go through the batteries pretty quickly. So follow the instructions. I use the Surefire S123A batteries because they work fine and are priced better than anything else at $15 for six. It would be better if there was something to keep the head cooler though.
Here are the warnings from Surefire:
Do not leave activated flashlight.
Do not set activated flashlight head down.
Do not place activated flashlight against combustible material or any part of the human body.
Keep away from children.
Make sure to lockout tailcap or remove batteries before storing or transporting.
I have not had any problems so far and this remains my favorite flashlight.
3 of my Surefires were purchased as gifts. They were all received in a lukewarm manner. No matter. I just wait overnight and give 'em a chance to try the "illuminator". Sure enough, the calls will come in the very next day, followed by a string of praises. And the inevitable, concerned, "how much did it cost...must have been a bomb!"
The cons? Only one, probably. Shine this light with its fantastic bright beam into the night sky long enough and the Caped Crusader himself may appear at your doorsteps. I'm trying anyway.
The G2X Pro can be found elsewhere at a cheaper price (30 bucks cheaper) on other sites.

Well made and the light quality in terms of not being too blue,( as many LED lights are), is very good. I think I would prefer a similar light but with an adjustable zoom. Read morePublished on December 8, 2013 by Ed Rohr
