The fixed belt loop is BIG plus.

Seems heavy duty, but the bezel of my E2D defender is starting to fray the bottom of the holster.

I've submitted a video review of the product. I'm very unhappy with this holster - I returned the one I reviewed back to Amazon, and was able to find the discontinued style on clearance at Cabelas, Identical to my worn out one with the Velcro belt attachment.
I've worn my E2D LED Flashlight every day for the past 3 years. In my video review I compare the old design to the new design and its shortcomings. I'm perfectly happy with the holster wearing out at the base - I find it preferable to having my torch fall out of the holster. And the batteries and flashlight are expensive. At $12 to replace, I view the holster is a consumable.

I bought this holster to carry my newly purchased SureFire G2X Pro. The holster is built very sturdily and exhibits typical SureFire ruggedness. While lesser holsters use one layer of nylon for the folding flap, SureFire uses a dual layer for a firm, solid construction. The belt loop has double stitching and triple folding on the top, and the bottom of the loop connects to one of the back layers. The loop is very large, giving the holster a lot of play on an ordinary belt. The bottom of the holster itself is pinched to provide support to the flashlight on the bottom as well as around the bezel. The button lies 1/2 inch within the bottom of the holster, making it unnecessary to lock out the tailcap when carrying. The velcro is very strong and noisy, but the inherent stiffness of the flap means that it can be dislodged by a swipe of the hand; actually grabbing the flap and pulling it up is not necessary. This makes fumbling for it unnecessary.

The flashlight sits quite loosely in the holster. The top flap normally holds the flashlight down and prevents it from bouncing around.

I wear this USA-made holster on my USA made nylon belt. I prefer functionality over style, so nylon is no problem for me. If you need your flashlight holster to be stylish, get the more pricey leather variation.

My main complaint was after switching over from a Mini Maglite LED Pro carried on a belt holster. One could grab the head of the flashlight, pull it out, and be ready to turn it on in a single fluid motion. (Actually turning it on was more difficult, however.) However, with the SureFire, you normally grasp the bezel with two fingers to pull it out. You are then holding the bezel with the switch pointing out the bottom of your hand.

Seems to work fairly well, although with use I've noticed that it is sliding out the bottom of the holster a bit. Still works just harder to get it out of the holster.

Very good out of the box. The hook and loop certainly does fray over time. But the killer is that this is a tube with an open bottom. Your flashlight WILL fall out. It happened to me three times. I must pay special attention to make sure that the clip on the flashlight hooks on to the nylon holster.

I have had problems with this on my duty belt fraying out the holster, not rugged enough, I do not recomend it unless you are an armchair user.

quality wise it lives up to the surefire name and reputation, seems very rugged and durable and I expect a long service life based upon my initial impression. fits my E2E executive like a glove, the only thing that was/is a concern is the open bottom on the sheath, but I figure 2 ways to remedy the chance of my light slipping through are 1. slide the clip over the outside of the sheath as I would in my pocket or 2. pinch the 2 outer corners of the sheath and put a couple of stitches in with a high quality thread (which I intend to do as added insurance against loss of my favorite flashlight) if not for the concern of the open bottom of the sheath I would have given it a solid 5 stars, but perhaps there is a reason for this that I am not aware of.

This item fits perfectly and is the right price. Only problem is that after three weeks of use the velcro on the holster side is coming off.
