Bright light from a small, well made flashlight,
By However, this light only has 1 hour of runtime from a set of CR123A lithium primary batteries. Fortunately, there are a few things that can be done to reduce the cost of your lumens: 1) Purchase 2 17500 lithium rechargeable batteries and a charger for them. 2) Purchase a Malkoff M60L LED dropin. This alone will increase your runtime from 1 hour to about 6.5 hours without sacrificing lumens!

If you're looking for an over-the-top flashlight, this is the one to have. It's truly amazing in every dimension. The construction quality is way beyond "rugged". I quite literally drove over it after accidentally leaving it on the garage floor. Not even a scratch - my concrete floor fared worse. I've also used it underwater a few times with no ill effects. The O-ring seals prevented even a drop from seeping in. In a pinch, I wouldn't hesitate to use it as a personal defense weapon, it's that rugged. At the same time, I find it well balanced and not unduly heavy. As for the light, as others have said, it's amazingly bright for such a small unit. I have one of the large Mag-Lite (6 D-cells), and I have to say that this one is brighter, although it's a narrower, more focused beam. Only two minor complaints. First, the CR123 batteries are fairly expensive and they don't really last all that long. Maybe an hour of solid "on" time altogether. My other complaint is that when you leave the light on for a long stretch of time, the body of the flashlight tends to get rather hot to the touch. Not so hot that you can't hold it, but warmer than I expected. Anyway, these two gripes aside, this is about the perfect ultra-bright flashlight.

Gives off a nice bright light, extremely rugged. A bit on the heavy side. Excellent for the outdoors! The downside is having to purchase 3 batteries - most batteries are sold in two packs.

Flashlight?,
This review is from: Surefire 9P Original Flashlight 9P-BK New Model NIP (Misc.)
What seems to be missing from these reviews is that this is a very effective, purposely designed weapon. The beam is blinding and disorienting, and it's build will add power and pain to your punch, poke or swing.

Amazing Little Engineering Marvel,
By The overall build is rock solid, and it feels like a high-quality machined metal product. If I had any complaints, it would just be that this thing is almost too dangerous to use regularly, especially around children, and the batteries are rated for a relatively short period of time (about an hour). Plus, those batteries are proprietary, not your regular old AAs or something. All in all, this is a slick piece of gear for the right use.
