Editorial Reviews

Is pro surfing a complete lie? Is modern wave-riding being faked for glory and profit? Is Dane Reynolds actually a robot? With trademark humor and a trend-setting soundtrack, Taylor Steele's latest genre-defining surfing video pulls back the curtain on pro surfing's deepest, darkest secrets. 'Stranger Than Fiction' is more than just the newest high-performance line-in-the sand, it's an entirely new era of surfing videos. Brace yourself for the truth.

This is the best modern high performance surfing captured on video to date. Must have for anyone who likes to see small wave surfing pushed to the limits. Airs, carves, whips, chains, whistles and yo-yos, this movie has it all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Taylor Steele is the man, August 31, 2011

I have been a Steel fan since the Focus days. STF continues the tradition of bringing everything to the next level. Better locations (now you can say to yourself -hey if I had a wave like that, maybe....) better cameras, good music. what more can one ask for?

wish I could say "great movie, great music". I just get bored with kids/groms doing skateboard moves on surfboards (kickflips, etc.) My preferred surf movie is a bunch of sick (big) waves. There are big waves in this flick, so it's a good movie. I can't really complain. But just over an hour long, so it gets boring... I want a surf movie where I don't get bored! Last thing: in the surf shops that always played this movie, it seemed better. Owning it, I don't like it as much.
