Good for getting insight about surface modeling
Backgrounds about differencetial geometry are explained shortly but enough. If intermediates read and implement algorithms related to curve and surface generation in the book, they can know easily the main properties of the used curve and surface geoemetries.

I found this book is out of date. There are lots of good books about surfaces out there.
