This book is very well organized and easy to read. It is full of useful alternatives to the standard treatment alternatives taught in school. Clear drawings, cited resources and abundant numerical data make utilizing the material in this book very straight forward.

This is a good book, though it would benefit from an update (I believe it is now 25 years old), more photos of actual functioning water plants, and current process diagrams and equipment. It should be on your shelf if you are doing projects in Africa, though other documents will be more appropriate to the tasks at hand.
