Great Book for a Beginer..,
By B. Venkateswara Rao (Japan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Surfaces and Interfaces of Solid Materials (Springer Study Edition) (Paperback)
Most of the people studying surface-interface properties, soon begin to concentrate on their topic of interest and forget the proverb "see around". This book provides a nice journey into the basics of surface study. Weather u are a experimentalist looking into the details of electron diffraction or a theoretist interested in electronic structure, this book is for you. To quote author, "need no changes in the structure of the book", even after many years of previous edition. I too did not find any specific lacuana in the book, which well justifies its space in the ravks of all surface scientists.

An Excellent Source on Surface Science...,
By
This review is from: Solid Surfaces, Interfaces and Thin Films (Hardcover)
This book is an excellent reference on surface science in general. It is very suitable and useful for graduate students of physics, chemistry, materials science and electrical engineering. The book presents the theory very well, with illustrative examples, and it also contains experimental techniques with real examples. I have examined at least 10-12 surface science books. This is by far the best one!
