If you're a Beach Boys fan who wants the most complete collection possible of their pre-Capitol records (1961-1962), then get the "Lost And Found" CD instead, which includes all of the Beach Boys songs here plus many bonus tracks, including studio chatter, alternate takes, demos, and so on. The songs by other bands on this CD are expendable.

Unfortunately, since this CD came out, The "Lost And Found" CD has seemed to disappear. If you can find it somewhere, you know what to do. If that CD never comes back, it is really a shame because it is the definitive collection of those recordings.

Melody and tempo is the main stay of this singing group...an institution from the early '60s...never-to-be-forgotten sound that is recognizable today, as it was back then...no other group has led the way for sunny California...with such staying power.

The Wilson Boys (Brian, Carl and Dennis), along with Mike Love and David Marks changed the world of music, much as Elvis and The Beatles...the list could go on...success of this young talented band had an original sound that the youth of that day could associate with...found myself wanting to spend more time with my friends just listening to this addictive music.

Entire CD is a blast...but there are stand outs ~ "SURFIN' SAFARI" (both versions)..."SURFER GIRL", harmony blends each tune to perfection...setting the scene for beach party films that flooded America and abroad...amazingly they still hold up very well today.

Surfs up, riding the waves ~ Cary E. Mansifield (collection producer), Dan Hersch (remastered digitally) and Varese Sarabande Records/Varese Vintage in giving us another memorable look back, to our favorite surfin' times with ~ THE BEACH BOYS!
