very good oncall book
Covers almost all problems for oncall sugical resident. Can come up with a prompt work up and treatment with in less than 5 minutes.

Ok...
Pretty good, but it often leaves you wanting more treatment info. Waste a lot of time with stuff you don't need to know and gets a little off track being complete to describe disease processes or "questions to ask." I was hoping it would have more - first give 500mL NS bolus and if no improvement try x y or z

Addresses issues by category, e.g. what to work up with complaint of nausea, pain, chest pain. It is a good skeleton for guiding you through what to think about. Not comprehensive, you will still need to look up drug doses, or specific medications.
