5.0 out of 5 stars Great Background and Useful Tips on Great Skin
I have always wanted to visit a cosmetic dermatologist and ask them what I should be doing about maintaining my skin - which products should I use, etc. But I have never gotten up the nerve to actually do it. This book is wonderful as it is a great resource to surveying all that is out there in the market that can be done for improving skin without surgery (Botox,...

2.0 out of 5 stars Can it really be helpful?
I have read several books about skin analysis and skin care products. This is the one that can not give me a direction clearly. Some of the introduction mentioned are not from scientific basis. I am confused and not sure what to trust?

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Background and Useful Tips on Great Skin, July 4, 2008
I have always wanted to visit a cosmetic dermatologist and ask them what I should be doing about maintaining my skin - which products should I use, etc. But I have never gotten up the nerve to actually do it. This book is wonderful as it is a great resource to surveying all that is out there in the market that can be done for improving skin without surgery (Botox, restylane, repair creams, peels, etc.).

I am in my late 30s and have pretty good skin but now I have learned of a few simple things I can be doing to maintain the good skin I have for as long as I can. There are concrete product recommendations based on your budget included in this book. I researched some of the suggested products on my favorite product review site and I have already bought 2 new types of products to try - one is even a drugstore brand.

The book is written in an easy to read format, like you are having a conversation with your own dermatologist. I think it's a great reference source for women (or men) who are curious about what options they have to have better skin.

I am a cosmetic dermatologist. I like to recommend product guide to my patients. This book has introduced some helpful information for customers, but not that convenient to use as a handbook.
