Excellent book for the wards and for the shelf. The book is as comprehensive as you can get for a review book. Excellent organization of the chapters, and great meticulous detail. I love the fact that it starts every chapter with a review of the relevant anatomy and physiology. The book is so great that I ended up abandoning my use of surgery recall, as NMS was more than enough prepration for the pimp questions.

NMS Surgery is a comprehensive solution for all your 3rd year surgical inquiries. Very in depth and detailed.

If you're looking for something that's more clinically relevant, go for the NMS Surgery Case Book.

Covers a lot, great review for shelf exam. Very organized. Mostly an outline similar to the BRS series, but longer. Not many questions, so I used a qBank to practice with this. There are a few questions in the text.

I purchased this book for use during my 12-week general surgery rotation. The book covered every topic very thoroughly in an easy-to-read/cram outline format that worked best for me (just like Goljan's Pathology Rapid Review).

Highly recommended for any MS3/MS4 general surgery rotation.

I wish I had this book a lot earlier in my clerkship! It has all the info you need. I think this book is 1,000 times better than Surgery Recall!
