As hand surgery consists largely of applied anatomy, collaboration between anatomists and clinicians is essential to developing an anatomic understanding of the hand for clinical use. This outstanding new guide, co-written by an anatomist and a hand surgeon, provides the most up-to-date knowledge of normal anatomy, anatomic variants, and biomechanics. Anatomy is a highly visual discipline; therefore, exquisite, high-quality drawings are used to emphasize key features will find this book to be an extremely useful tool!

Surgical Anatomy of the Hand covers everything from lymph vessels, carpal bones, and wrist joints to vascular structures, muscles, and tendons. This is the book that bridges the gap between introductory texts and highly specialized anatomic references on this complex subject.

Hand surgeons, orthopaedists, plastic surgeons, anatomists, and residents who need to expand their knowledge of the hand, upgrade their surgical technique, and optimize patient care will find this book to be an extremely useful tool!

Editorial Reviews

Review

'The many, beautiful drawings permit good comprehension of the anatomy for a precise operation or conservative treatment. A very useful...interesting book for all surgeons who are interested in hand surgery.' -- European Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery & Traumatology

"Writings are complimented by clear photographs and surperb two-color line drawings...presented on high quality gloss paper...Not only is the usual anatomy covered in detail, variations are also thoroughly covered...highly recommended to all practicing hand surgeons, trainees in this field and hand therapists. The authors, illustrator and publisher are to be congratulated for a high quality coverage of a challenging area. The book is a work of art."--ANZ Journal of Surgery

This review is from: Surgical Anatomy of the Hand (Hardcover)
I have had many doubts about some anatomical variant in the human hand, this books gives you a new view about this topic, and it is a a helper for orthopaedics surgeons and plastic surgeons, it help, it rally does
Maybe if one read it very carefully will find that many "accidents" during our every day practice, where just some of the many varities one find here on.
I am very happy with this text, and I think it must be in every serious surgeon's private library and of course in the hospitals's libraries.
