You might remember Surkin as the kid with mad skills who emerged from the big french electro-house invasion of the mid-to-late 00's. Well it's been a minute, (5 years to be exact) and the youngin' is back with his debut LP USA
on Marble Players Records! The intro clues you in on what to expect - it's basically a huge buildup in proper french electro style that leads into the proper electro beats of "Lose Yourself(1)" with Ann Saunderson. "Love Shot(2)" is next and is a surprising departure into realms of high energy and cosmic italo vibes. Is this still the same Surkin? Well incase you were doubting, "I.N.Y.N.(3)" should clear all doubts as Surkin takes it back to the style that made him famous with an electro banger of epic proportions. Other highlights include the hype "Ultra Light(4)," the italo house vibes of "Silver Spring Anthem(5)," "Quattro(6)" with Bobmo, "Fan Out(7)" and the chilled out "Gold Island(8)" to balance it out. Impressive work, 16 tracks in all.
