4.0 out of 5 stars good, November 1, 1998
This review is from: Surprise Surprise (Audio CD)
this is a very good album if you like fusion jazz which can be best described as a cross style very much like spyro gyro, but mezzoforte best album I feel is the "SUPRISE, SUPRISE", which was released in the United States in 1979 and they limited there sells of this album to only 25,000 because they didn't think that it would do very well in the states, so if you are a music lover of this style then you will truly like this to be added to your music collection

5.0 out of 5 stars Jazz Fusion at it's best!, May 21, 2001

'Rising', 'Observations', 'Surprise, surprise' and 'Fortesimmo' are the Mezzoforte albums to get. "Daybreak' and'No limits are not so great. Fusion blues and glazing at the clouds are the more soothing sounds while surprise is a sort of energetic intro and Garden Party is a popular(not so much in U.S.) lively piece. This album was released(though i think newly remastered)in the 80, with a sound similar to the Rippingtons, but more inventive sometimes.

4.0 out of 5 stars What a PARTY!, February 15, 2000

Next to "RISING", this album is worth collecting if you're a MEZZOFORTE fan. "Daybreak" & "No Limits" ain't that hot. 'Garden Party' is obviously the most commercial track on this album & would be a good reason to add "Surprise, Surprise" to your collection!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sugar to my ears, October 11, 2007
This review is from: Surprise Surprise (Audio CD)
Ahh, I was there in the eighties. This was one of my favourites. Sugar to my ear... Funky, jazzy and maybe even a bit loungy. Good for partying and long term listening. (Goes without saying as it is 20+ years old :-)
