5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring fallen flyer, December 30, 2008

This review is from: Surprised by Hope : From Circus Girl to Quadriplegic - A Journey Through Tragedy to a Promise for Tomorrow (Paperback)
How many of us dreamed as children to one day run off with the circus and be a trapeze artist? Author Vickie Baker did it. She was living her dream of flying on the trapeze in a circus when one day, in a split second, the unthinkable happened. She fell and landed the wrong way into the net. Now, a quadriplegic for life, after a couple of failed suicide attempts she reinvented herself and found reasons to live. This is a very inspiring story of a very courageous lady. I read it in one sitting.
