I hated this book! I couldn't even finish it! Why? It was too much like kidnapping to me.

Why did the author think that it was romantic to keep her standed in that town? If there was a legitimate reason but the man(can't remember his name) NOT to fix her car then that would have been somewhat better. But the story plot gave me the creeeeeeeeeps...

Julia Kelley has decided to give up on love after two failed attempts. The first for a man who left her when she became pregnant, the second to a man who ended up not being who he claimed to be when she sees his picture on the wall of the Post Office on the FBI's most wanted list. After witnessing his murder and fearing for her own life, she goes into hiding with her 8 year old daughter. While on the run, her car breaks down in the midst of a storm in the middle of nowhere. Up rides her knight in shining armor, Carson Webber. Carson is a widow with an 8 year old daughter also, but he has also given up on love after losing his wife. That is until he sees a dripping wet Julia Kelley on the side of the road.
Julia and her daughter ends up staying at Carl's sister B&B where she starts to feel very comfortable and eventually lets down her guard, to both her heart and her safety. The relationship between the two little girls is one that had me smiling at the innocence of childhood. Once they made up their minds that they were going to be sisters, Julia and Carson had no choice but to Surrender to Love.

A secondary storyline consists of FBI agents Tony Iaanelli, Paul Regis his superior and Paul's daughter Michelle. Tony and Michelle are engaged and kept their romance hidden for two years from Paul. Tony thinks Paul disapproves of the relationship because he is black, and he eventually confronts Paul about it. It was good story in which race ended up not being the issue.

Romance and suspense with a few twists makes Surrender to Love a very good read and I am sure that you won't be disappointed.

Dr. Julia Kelly had one failed marriage under her belt when she met and married David Lawson. His attention to her daughter and apparent affection for the little girl keep her in the marriage longer than she would have been. But then she sees something that changes her and her daughter's entire life and their world will never be the same again.

Her ex-husband is dead and Julia feels responsible. Now she must shed her life to protect her little girl. Then one fateful night her car breaks down and Carson Webber comes to her rescue.

Carson already had the love of his live when he married his childhood sweatheart, Karen. But Karen died suddenly three years ago leaving him with a little girl to raise and sweet memories that prevent him from seeking love again. Even Sheri Higginbottom whose loved him forever cannot get him back down the aisle. So what attraction is there for this stranger he rescued on a stormy night?

Can Julia and Robin hide in this small, sleepy town and be safe. Can Julia risk her heart and her daughter's safety to love again? Can a new love survive when the stranger puts your pride and joy in danger? This book is one of those page turners that takes you through suspense, mystery, love, family warmth and a tinge of jealously. A great rainy day book.

Who would have ever thought you'd turn up in Mayberry and find the love of your life. I liked this book, although I did think it was a bit strange for a intelligent doctor to just run away like she did. I loved the relationship that the daughters developed, and that certainly tugged at your heart strings that they created such a bond. I like Adrianne Byrd, and will continue to read her books.

I liked this book because it gave a romance, mystery, and suspense. Their were several relationships to focus on so the reader didn't get bored with the main characters romance.

This was her best book yet. I loved the chemistry between them and the love episode. But the fact that this book was not trashy like some romance novels can be made me enjoy it more. Keep doing what you do.
