Ideal companion for postgraduate students and researchers,

This review is from: Surveys In Social Research (Social Research Today) (Paperback)
The author is an expert in the field of social research. The book reviews key concepts as well as provide clear steps in carrying out quatitative social research. The book covers concepts with depth and clarity. It are not easy to achieve with the level of complexity the topics covered. David De Vaus has accomplished the task successfully and fills the book with handy advice for field researchers. The last chapter 'Putting into practice' is brilliant. It provides a research sample from research question development to interpretation of data. A real help to researchers and postgraduate students who are working on research of their own. When analysing quatitative data from the field work, I find the other book 'Analyzing social science data'a helpful companion, too.
