With shipping included I paid $233.66. After receiving the kit I would have to say that the items included are very cheap and not worth the money. You would be better off taking the list of items from the product description and buying higher quality items individually. It probably would be cheaper as well.

This is a great product to have, although a bit more costly than the contents warrant. However, after years of attending disaster preparedness classes that instruct you to put together a kit of your own, I had yet to do it. So, better safe than sorry - I wanted to go ahead and purchase a kit that was already put together. You pay for the convenience, but it definitely will be worth it if a disaster ever happens!

the array of items in bag are good and ample. this is a good emergency bag if you are not willing to put your own together or don't have the time.(much better than nothing)you could put one together much cheaper. the only drawback is the quality of items, most are cheaply made, although they will work in a pinch. and the first aid kit is probably the worst part. its nothing more than bandaids basically-you can pick one up for $5.But overall it will help you survive when the time comes.

I love this kit! It took about two weeks to get. Everything was packed nice and neatly. The food and water is from the month I ordered and has a 5 year shelf life. There is an surprising addition. Instead of the handheld squeezable flashlights and crank radio, there is a crank 3 in 1 flashlight, radio, and phone charger. It was a little heavier than I expected. However, it is managable. Also, the first aid kit is Johnson & Johnson. Lastly, the multitool is like a Swiss army knife. It's of good quality too. Overall, I am very impressed.

After months of comparing different bags, I finally made the purchase for my family. This bag is peace of mind and totally worth the price (my husband agrees and is happy I finally just made the decision and bought it)! I read the reviews about putting a better quality bag together for less money . . . I'm not so sure about that? But why bother when this bag has it all (ok, I did add storm-proof matches)? Like another reviewer, I was very happy to see that the expirations dates started the same month of my order. The bag is more compact then I expected and fits neatly in the back of my SUV. It's heavy though! I would definitely not be able to carry it anywhere if evacuating on foot - but that's not what it's made for. It's in my car if we need it now and one less thing for me to worry about. Check that off my list!

At first I was worried after almost a month and the item had not arrived after it supposedly had shipped weeks ago. I called and spoke to a representative who was very professional and apologetic about a back log due to the rush of orders after the incident in Japan. I was told my order would ship that day and arrive in a day or two. The item did arrive the next day and was exactly what I expected and more. It has pretty much everything you could think of and more for an emergency where you may be without shelter and essential services. I am confident this kit could keep me and my family going for several days without any other comforts. This is one of those items that I believe better be safe than sorry and have the security of knowing you have it and may never need it, than needing it and not getting when you had the chance.

I would like to retract my first negative review as the order did arrive in time to be a birthday gift, it was in excellent shape and I was happy with it. The reason for its delay (which I unfortunately reacted to in haste) was a severe snow storm which delayed all mail. I am sorry if this affected the seller in any negative way.

I've never wrote a product review, but after reading some of the blistering negative ones I felt compelled to provide a little levity. I, too, ordered my kit in the wake of the Japanese earthquake because I've been putting off creating my own and that event was a rude wake-up call for all of us living in SoCal. And I also had to wait over a month to get my kit, which arrived today, due to the overwhelming amount of procrastinators like me who waited to finally create an emergency plan. However, I emailed the company a few days ago to inquire as to the status of my order (it was shown as shipped on March 27th) and received a reply the next day explaining that they and their suppliers have been backlogged with the number of requests. Makes sense. They also apoligized profusely for the delay and explained that their system automatically generates a ship date based on the order time. Under normal circumstances I am sure that everything operates smoothly, but these are not normal circumstances. I sincerely believe the company is doing its best to fulfill the orders--to the extent of even hiring more help, which is a welcome event given the 12% unemployment rate in California. Was I happy that I had to wait a month to get the kit? No. Is it also partially my fault for waiting so long to get one? Yes.

Personally, I was impressed with how professionally the company dealt with my request and the contents are exactly what I was needing to protect my family. I would not hesitate to order from them again.

I've wanted to put a bigger/better bug-out-bag together for a little while now and I thought this would be the perfect place to start a new one. This kit includes several tools and provisions that would be necessary to have in case of an emergency.

I ordered this kit and it arrived close to when expected. When I opened my package it included a typed letter addressed to me (customers notice these things) and explained that due to a rush of sales, they were currently out of the camping stove. They assured me that they would send it the previous week and sure enough it showed up right on time! I also noticed that the water rations had just been manufactured according to the date printed on them. I was happy to see that the food and water rations were fresh and ready to be put away for a while with no worry.

I thought the pry bar/gas shut off was a really nice addition. You would definitely want to add some extra things into the kit (better first aid kit, better knife, tinder, etc) but I definitely can't complain. Extremely satisfied with product and seller.

Not the highest quality products in this Survival kit.
This is a good kit for every home to have...
Plenty of things in here that are must have in an emergency situation.
Add this Kit to your stock...but does not have all that you need in it.
I'm am glad I have the peace of mind this kit and the additional things I have bought has given me.
Buy a Kit today...if not this one. Anyone is better then Nothing at all.
