I disagree with the previous review.

I found my pen and highlighter working overtime with this well written and insightful perspective on the systemic problems America (and much of the world) are facing. As much as the title sounds like surviving (bullets, beans, bandaids, hunker down) kind of thing it is completely the opposite. It addresses how and possibly why the Stuff might hit the Fan, and how a 'Best' solution is community and relationship with community.

I work in the Private Wealth Services business (30 years), and have purchased 6 copies for friends and associates. NOT because it give investment advice - it gives none - but because it so clearly highlights many of the root issues that have gotten us to this point ( Debt Saturation, Nanny State over-reach,etc.).

AND, this guy is a WRITTER - I mean a 'Real Deal' Writter...not a hack. He thinks, and he Writes. He does both VERY well!

3.0 out of 5 stars ok April 28, 2010
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
While the author presents many good ideas he seems to over-think/explain making things appear more complicated not less. I bought the primer and there was a sense of information overload I would hate to read the full version.

3.0 out of 5 stars a popinjay author November 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This author is into one thing: himself. I have read most dystopic novels over 30 years and sadly, this author, rather than telling a story, insists on creating new words and then accusing the rest of us of ignorance. Get off your lofty pedestal and come down to earth, please.

No further comment until I re-read this drivel and I do not recommend any of his other books, at this point.
