This is a classic album from beginning to end. Hip hop Juggernauts KRS-One and Buckshot lead the way with dope battle/knowledge lyrics and are accompanied by many other dope artist (Bounty killer, Heltah Skeltah, Kweli, Mary J Blige, Slug, etc). The production right along with the lyrics are dope. So those that had complaints about "lackluster" beats chosen By KRS will have no complaints on this release at all. The only thing i didn't care for on the album was K'naan's verse on THINK OF THINGS. I am a big fan of K'naan but his verse seemed kinda weak to me. Other than that this is the best album of the year thus far!!!!
Go to songs: THE WHOLE ALBUM!

KRS & Buckshot Klassic,

After seeing some video clips and such of the single Robot i was looking forward to this release.I usually look for Kris to drop about every year and 1/2 KRS stays in the loop so i too heard some of the hype behind this project but i did not know what to expect but I will say after reading all of the ratings here I do believe that this is a classic cd,I believe mainstreem has dimmed the focus of many of hip hop's fans.hip hop is so diverse you can't compare underground to hip pop,i think so many fans like what they like and i am no different I like raw rhyme flows, sick bangin beats, and my main ingredient deversity, skills. This cd does that i think the production is tight and the lyrics are on point. The best songs on the cd to me are Connection, featuring Smif & Wessin,Oh Really featuring Talib,Runnin Away
featuring Immortal Technique,Murder 1 featuring Bounty Killer, these 4 tracks are great ,good tracks are Robot,The Way I Live featuring Mary J,the production on Hear No Evil is dope w/good message i wish the song would have been longer,Past,Present,Future i like the hook and the throwback 70's style beat, tracks that you shouldn't sleep on Clean Up Crew ,Amazin, and One Shot. I was Impressed by the true Emmceein skills by Buck & KRS and Company not for radio or maybe not mainstream radio but I know they will be bumping this on 91.5 FM Vinyl Frontier, and 90.1 The Groove peace!

WWOOWW!!!,

Just when you thought Hip Hop and some of its artists were dead, think again!! A female friend put me on to this and was blown away. an un-likey duo usaully make great albums and this IS the best. Two of my favorites on one CD is classic. All the tracks are great, just needed a few more. Just 14 of the realest tracks you will ever hear. No gimmicks, jokes or interludes on this. There are great albums out there don't get me wrong, this one just creeped in the back door. If you don't have this, GET IT!!

KRS-1 & BUCKSHOT.....FOREVER,

This is definately a modern day hiphop classic by one of the surviving pioneer of authenic hiphop from the New York streets. Real talk and consciousness "in rare form" from leaders of the pack. I enjoyed the music, message and vibe. This is definately a dynamic duo bringing heat and lyrical blessings with head noddin tracks that make you feel blessed to experience hiphop on this level, once again. There are only a few gems like this one and you will be repeatedly chanting along. You need to include this offering in ya collection.

it is definitely a good album by these two artists, however knowing KRS ONE as i know him i was expecting more consciousness than more focus on whose doing better rap. I don't have too many KRS One albums in my repertoire so i'm wondering if i should consider buying another one from him but the beats and featured artists are brilliant. all in all the album is beautiful.

We Made It !,

Diggin the project. KRS-ONE has always suffered from tunes that have tracks that don't compliment his performances (not including his stand-out hit-recording exceptions) This is a great marriage of BuckTown's production and KRS. Out of all of the tracks I listen to eight of them over and over. The tune that focuses on fathers is a standout with KRS moving the concept of fatherhood to making choices in the absence of fatherly guidance. THE ONLY LACK IS A CLEAN VERSION OF THE ALBUM !

The new collaborative effort from KRS-One and Buckshot, "Survival Skills" is one of those albums that is a must hear based on the people involved. When I picked up this album, I was pleasantly surprised from beginning to end. From the title track to the music industry critique "Robot", that's where things start to pick up. "Past Present Future" is an excellent album closer produced by 9th Wonder. The only songs that weigh this album down a bit are the two songs produced by Khrysis, "Amazin'" and "Hear No Evil". The song with K'naan, the parental-responsobility themed "Think Of All The Things" ends with a spectacular- albeit preachy- verse from The Teacher himself.
The most surprising thing about this album is the fact that although both men are elder statesmen, a mid 40's KRS is pretty much running circles around Buckshot and every rapper on here. Those guests include Talib Kweli, Heltah Skeltah (on separate songs), Immortal Technique, Slug of Atmosphere, and Naledge of Kidz In The Hall. There's nothing more to say, except buy this album!

When I read Krs and Buckshot were about to drop a collabo cd I didn't care. However I downloaded and it was a pleasant experience. The cd is much better than I thought, KRS still can rip the mic and Buckshot continues the same - dope - the production & collabos r pretty on point 2.
Oh yeah, after I listened, I immediately pre-ordered my copy because it worths every cent!!!
