Cheryl Miller Thurston is a former teacher, a playwright, and author of many books for teachers, including Attitude!, Capitalization, and Extra Book, and is a winner of the Pacific Northwest Writers' Conference Children's Play Award. She lives in Loveland, Colorado.

Cheryl Miller Thurston is a writer, a former English teacher, and the founder of Cottonwood Press, Inc., a company that for over 20 years published innovative materials for teachers, grades 5-12, to use in the language arts classroom. (In late 2010, Cottonwood Press was sold to Prufrock Press.)

Thurston continues to write from her office in Colorado and produces the weekly "Cranky Language Lady Grammar Quiz for Grownups" at www.crankylanguagelady.com. She is also a musician and the co-creator of the humorous CD, "Polka Therapy."
