Mad Sin - Cursed

Biography

Mad Sin finally finished their 13th album along with their new Californian, lead guitarist Matt Vüdü (Bamboula). It’s gonna be called “Burn and Rise” – since their indestructible Bandleader Köfte DeVille has gone through some major personal changes, which encouraged him to lose almost 40 kilo grams, the title is more than adequate. 18 new tracks, titled like: “Last Gang Standing”, “Geisterfahrer”… Read more in Amazon's Mad Sin Store

5.0 out of 5 stars a must have for psychobilly fans, November 21, 2003

this is a great cd. its obvious that they spent a long time on this in the studio, and i'm curious as to how it sounds live. This isn't as technical as sweet and innocent, but it isn't as catchy either. I have yet to hear a bad mad sin album (I too have all of 'em and i love each and every one) and this is no exception, doubters be damned!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but there is Better!, September 2, 2007
This review is from: Survival of the Sickest (Audio CD)
This was the third Mad Sin CD I bought. I think there was a big progression between Loud and Dirty to Survival of the Sickest to The Dead Moon Calling. The Loud and Dirty CD was raw and not as good. Survival or the Sickest was a better CD with better songs and the Dead Moon Calling is down right excellent. Survival of the Sickest does have some awesome songs though. It's down right psycho! It's full of Slap Bass and Screaming Vocals. If you are starting out with Mad Sin buy Dead Moon Calling. If you already own that CD but this one! It's a little less than that one but it still sounds good! Their older CDs are good too but I wouldn't start off with them. Acquire a taste for Mad Sin first and then dig deeper into their archive!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album, August 13, 2006
This review is from: Survival of the Sickest (Audio CD)
This was the first Mad Sin album I ever got around to getting. My first time listening to it, I was blown away. Then, in April '06, I got a chance to see Mad Sin play in NYC-they played a few songs off of this album-and they are done well live. Since getting this album, I've gotten around to getting "Break the Rules" and "Amphigory"-neither of which are as up-tempo as this one. I'm going to try to get two other Mad Sin albums-"Dead Moon's Calling" and "God Save the Sin" to see what I think-but this album is AMAZING and in my personal opinion am not sure if any of their other stuff will stand up to this release.
The first track, "Communication Breakdown" sets the tone for the whole album-and is probably one of my favourites. If I had to pick the best three songs, I'd have to say "Communication Breakdown", "1000 Eyes", and "Sin Is Law(Racket In 711)".
This album has since segwayed me to other psycho bands-the Meteors, Demented Are Go!, Koffin Kats, Demented Scumcats, Klingonz, etc etc. I love 'em all, all thanks to this Mad Sin release getting me interested
