Another major winner!,
By Kathy Duncan "Kathy Duncan, almost a nurse" (Chicago ILUSA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: How to Survive and Maybe Even Love Your Life as a Nurse (Paperback)
I saw a review copy of this book sitting on my instuctor's desk at school. I begged to borrow it, and as an almost new grad (May of this year) all I can say is MY INSTRUCTOR IS NOT GETTING THIS BOOK BACK!! I read the fantastic first book by this author (about surviving nursing school) and this sequel covers everything from writing your resume, to the first week/month/year on the job, leadership, stress management, money management (when we start making some, yeah!), and then tons of resources and quotes from nurses in the trenches. I haven't seen another book written by nurses who are currently practicing...so this is really a gem...and a winner! Also there is a cool "New grad journal" that is worth the price of the book my itself!
