I was impressed that the author did not stack reviews with his friends' comments. I know because I'm the first to review and I don't know him from Adam.

Mr. Oates has written a well thought out book that offers background information concerning our economy and hypotheses about what might happen next. His style is straight forward with the kind of candor and humorous sarcasm that I most enjoy.

This book is a keeper. I would have given it five stars except for some of the grammatical problems that were distracting at times. Still, a five-star book in terms of content. A thought provoker and an action simulator of a book. Good job, Jeff!

It wouldn't take much to cause a world wide run on food and water. If Iran were to attack Israel or pollute the oil fields with a nuclear bomb you would not have time to prepare for the shortage of everything.

) Wow. I know the country's in serious financial trouble but never gave it much thought. Bankruptcy would be a disaster! This book explains in simple terms why it is a problem, what we can expect when we go bankrupt, and what we can do in concrete terms to provide for ourselves and our families when it does. Some great ideas here. I got some really good ideas. I'm stocking up on vodka and jack daniels.

Nothing but a string of rambling thoughts. Not One original unique idea . Just mindless blather backed by no personal experience . Clearly the author needs to leave his mother's basement long enough to learn his topic before hitting the keyboard.
