In my honest opinion the Australian Special Forces would have to be the supreme survival specialists. They operated behind enemy lines in both Afghanistan and Iraq in the last few years and during these dangerous mission did not lose a single member of the force. One was lost later in a vehicle explosion after driving over a mine.

I am not a specialist in this field, just an interested civilian. Found it a great guide and an eye-opener.
