5.0 out of 5 stars Good for Many Tough Issues, July 23, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Surviving Cancer and Other Tough Stuff: An Illustrated Journal and Workbook for Healthy and Abundant Life and Becoming Who You Really Are (Paperback)
I am buying this for a friend who will be getting surgery in a couple of weeks. After reading it to make sure it would be appropriate for her, I came away very impressed. I'm impressed with the way this book is set up as part journal, part advice, part workbook--and with many inspiring meditations on life and what it means to live fully.
I went through one of the 12-step programs many years ago, and I vividly recall my first reading of the 12 & 12: that it would be a great guidebook for ANYONE, and that it was a shame that only 12-steppers had access to it.
This guidebook feels much the same.
Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Uplifting and Entertaining Change Guide, August 21, 2009
This review is from: Surviving Cancer and Other Tough Stuff: An Illustrated Journal and Workbook for Healthy and Abundant Life and Becoming Who You Really Are (Paperback)
The author takes you on a juicy emotional journey from resentment and grief to love, fullfillment and happiness by way of healing herself mentally, emotionally and physically, along with her readers. Kanta bares her heart and soul in this uplifting story and in the workbook offers a great process to consciously evolve into "who you really are," using enjoyable creative excercises and visualizations. The author's illustrations set a light-hearted tone, which readers will find comforting and encouraging, like the reminder of a good friend that all is well. Highly recommended.

This fresh, juicy, beautiful book takes the reader on a transformational healing adventure. Rich in practical, no-nonsense information as well as gentle, expertly guided inner exploration, the book is a factual, funny, and wise companion.
