Piece of JUNK!, December 21, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Survivor The Interactive Game (Mac) (CD-ROM)
o.k. I'm a HUGE survivor fan and a huge computer buff..so i was estactic to get this game! I got this game as a Christmas gift and when i tried it... it didn't work! I finally got it to work and it was junk! The graphics were terrible (not to mention SLOW) and the communication was worthless. Then, it froze! I returned it at least 5 times to see if I could at least get to the merge. It never worked although our computer met all of the requirements. Trust me, don't buy this game unless you have a lot of patience!

AWFUL~~~~, February 25, 2002
This review is from: Survivor The Interactive Game (Mac) (CD-ROM)
Slow, Boring .. in a word .. AWFUL! I am a big Survivor fan and a big Mac person and my whole family hated this game! Don't waste your money! Like a previous reviewer, I pre-ordered and then WAITED and WAITED. When it finally arrived I could not have been more disappointed. So much could have been done with this game that wasn't. It's a shame.

No wonder this title was late, February 18, 2002
This review is from: Survivor The Interactive Game (Mac) (CD-ROM)
This game was obviously in no shape to be released when it was scheduled to, and I am not even sure it is now.
I am a big fan of the show, and I have to say that i had a hard time having fun with this game. The challenges tend to be tedious, and not really anything like the ones on the show, and the interaction with the other players is unsatisfactory. My tribe came into the merge with a majority after some nice challenge wins. Yet I was unable to convince them to vote as a block after the merge (no problem before), meaning the other tribe easily took us out one by one.
The game has the obvious feel of a pc game that has been converted, with no real mac feel at all. None of the standard mac commands such as save, quit and so forth work. The interface then feels sub-standard. Even more interesting, the indexing started about half-way through the game because I walked off to get a snack, and there was no way to get back to the finder to shut it off, making my gameplay very choppy. In addition, I found no way to save the game half-way through, which means you have to play the entire game in one sitting. After a couple of hours, with the indexing problem running through challenges which meant I kept losing, I just quit the game, and never came back to it again.
So from an avid fan who had been loking forward to this game for quite a while, I have to say beware of this one. I bought another MacSoft title a couple of days earlier, Tropico, and I went back to it instead of torturing myself further with this one.
