Better Than Most,

The Survivors is the original name of the re-released title "Space Prison". It was my first novel, given to me at the age of 12 by one of my father's coworkers--that was 40 years ago. It remains one of my fondest memories in the world of fiction.
While short on character development, it remains an engrossing story about survival, adaptation, understanding, and ultimately revenge. What more could a reader ask for. While I've read others who point out that it lacks scientific accuracy. To that I would say, if you're reading fiction for the sake of accuracy, you've got a problem. I would have no problem recommending this book to anyone looking for a fast paced story that's interesting and enjoyable.

and gripping science fiction classic. It is nice to see it in print again. It deserves it.

I had not heard anything about this book but the summary was enough to convince me I had to read it. I love survival novels and I basically didn't put this down until I finished it. The book is pretty short and spans a time period of hundreds of years but the author really makes it work.
