I've always wanted to learn how to make sushi but never really tried because I feel intimidated by it. Japanese food involves so much technique and I wasn't sure if I can really do it. Thanks to this book, it shows you how to properly make sushi and gives you tips so it won't just taste good but looks good too. I'm definitely gonna try it!

This is a great intro to making sushi! I have eaten sushi quite a few times but had no idea what went into making it. Especially all of the tools that you need. I recommend this book to anyone who is learning about sushi, or wants to understand the basics around how it is made. I definitely have more respect for the sushi chef now!

4.0 out of 5 stars DIY - Sushi! January 20, 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I’ve always wanted to try sushi, always been curious about how it really tastes and if the descriptions given by those who have tried it were really true, but Japanese restaurants in our area are just so far (and costly). Having the “Sushi Chef” can help me put an answer to my curiosity because now I can try to do it myself. I didn’t know that there are so many kinds of sushi! For now I think I want to try and create a Futomaki. I know it may not turn out as beautiful looking like the ones I see on televisions and magazines, but I still would like to give it a try.

It’s good that this book also enumerated (and explained) the equipments that I will need to make a sushi roll. Of all the things mentioned, it’s just the wooden bowl that I have to find. Great! Highly recommended!
