Editorial Reviews

From the Author

NOT A SUSPICIOUS DEATH was a headline in the weekly newspaper.  The story was only about two inches worth and the death truly wasn't suspicious, but what a great title!  I saved  it for two years and then I received the painting - take a good look at the cover - it was a gift and I loved the giver, but it was so bad.  Then the picture inspired the story to fit the title.

What one finds on the beach can be very interesting. A little too interesting, sometimes. The people you meet have histories. The weather of the Pacific Northwest is easily visuallized, and dose more than provide a backdrop for the action. This book has kept me up until after 2am. At that point I had already done eye drops, and enlarged the text size on my Kindle, and still HAD stop reading, not that I wanted to.

I love the stories in the Teddy books, but they need some serious editing. Possessive pronouns don't have apostrophes, too many run on sentences, etc.

I've read quite a few of Amanda Glenn's books, first the Taylor Books and now I've been reading the Teddy Books and none have disappointed me.
In these books I identify with Teddy (and Taylor from the other series), an older woman who doesn't feel any particular age, certainly not old. Teddy is the person I would like to be...she cooks and cleans and gardens with ease and expertise but her forte is solving murders. In fact, the body she finds is classified "Not a Suspicious Death", the sheriff doesn't even think there was a murder...not this one anyway but of course it was a murder that needed solving. The other murder points suspiciously at her best friend Rob as the murderer. I've been kept guessing and along for the ride as the layers peel back bit by bit and the mystery is solved. And I've enjoyed every minute. You never know what lies just under the surface of the people you know.
