5.0 out of 5 stars Ashish Operationalizes Strategies for Disruptive Change, January 9, 2009
By M. Isler "Knocker" (Washington, D.C.) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
In Sustainable Disruption, Ashish does a great job of operationalizing the concept of disruptive technology discussed in Clayton Christensen's book "The Innovator's Dilemma." In that book, Christensen analyzes "disruptive technologies" that undermine established market leaders and eventually dominate the market.

In this book, Ashish presents a teaching tool for organizations to analyze the context, develop a culture for change, and implement holistic strategies to change the organization and shape the marketplace.

This is a great book for leaders and managers looking to harness change within their organization to shape today's fast-moving business environment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Genius!!, September 20, 2007
By Michael J. Hok (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews

This book is pure genius!
Ashish is concise, articulate, and strait to the point. Sustainable Disruption is a beautifully written business guide to taking a hard and honest look your business environment. This is a "How to" guide to strategic thinking and creating the brick and mortar for profitability.

Let the business competition chase you! This book will teach you how.

5.0 out of 5 stars Change is a foundation which success is built upon, September 4, 2007
By Steve M (Minnesota) - See all my reviews
I am impressed with the approach presented in Sustainable Disruption which guides the reader back a few steps from the process of defining strategic efforts, presence and identification. Rather than an intimidating one shot at getting it right, Ashish describes an ongoing process where there is no identified end point. Rather strategic thinking is an ever changing approach that continually drives a company culture that expects innovative, continued steps to bring new and defining products and services to the market. It challenges a company to step away from the details and look at what's happening to their business environment, their customer's environment and adding a new level to the analytical process; their customer's customer's environments.

This approach keeps the mind share of the organization vibrant and more readily able to address changes in the various arenas that could otherwise adversely affect their own business.

After reading this book I felt I had known of this approach, but Ashish's words were the first time I'd read them in strategic guidance or management book or periodical.
