Wonderful experience!,
This review is from: Sustaining Joy (Kindle Edition)
What a wonderful and creative way to learn and teach self help through creating joy! "Sustaining joy" makes it easy for people to guide themselves through the process while appreciating others experiences along the way. I have found this book very effective in my own creation of joy as have many others!

I love the way this CD makes you feel. No matter how often you listen to it, you always get something new out of it. It seems as if whatever you are going through, good or bad, the chapters helps you through your journey. Very relaxing and soothing to listen to in a quiet, comfortable, place.

One More,

Our review group of women found this read another attempt at self-help from another personal view. These books were big decades ago but by now we find that most adult women have matured to understand that 'what goes round, comes round' and we all 'reap what we sow'. People understand that one cannot go through their lives being opportunistic and deceptive with their peers, their best friend's spouses, and blaming their 'poor me' lot in life on anyone except themselves. The baby boomer generation already know that the way to alleviate life pain and to 'sustain real joy' is in making amends to those we may have hurt, physically or mentally, in our lifetime. Then instead of blaming all other things for our shortcomings, we take full responsibility for our own action. We didn't find anything different in this read than in the numerous other self-help stuff on the market. One person's problems, brought on by themselves or by their lack of responsibility, is not really all that applicable to others lives. We are individual with individual power and issues. Sorry, but we didn't find it worth the time or information included. Just another self-help to most of us. Good writing comes with study of the craft and the ability to contribute intelligent and viable information. We didn't really sense that here. There are too many people trying to sell quick fixes and so it is our review to say........not our little cup of tea!

Seriousness of having the Gift of Life,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sustaining Joy (Spiral-bound)
Life is not about self. It is about treating all life, human or otherwise, with kindness and love. Everything in life is transient. People do not own the right to attract others for themselves. It is a new age coming. "SelfLESS not SelfISH" People are all responsible for what they do to and for others. It is about bringing peace to all, not individual desires. Truly, Nothing else is important. The Joy for one person cannot have any meaning for anyone except that person. Until Joy becomes internal enough to forget about self and remember the whole, self joy is nothing. Peace for all is all there is to bring joy. Anything else is bogus. Truly, Nothing else is important.

Personal account,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sustaining Joy (Spiral-bound)
Seems more like merely someone's personal account of their own little missteps in life. The self indulgence sounds more involved than does the information offered in the reading. Didn't appeal to what I would call any higher interests.

Too Little,
By A Customer

"Too Little Too Late" for those people who were wronged in the past. "Less is More" when finding others to blame. Reminds me somehow of "Gypsies...Tramps...and Thieves" We found this poorly written and definately out of date. This is still America right? We are entitled to our opinions?

WHAT ?,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sustaining Joy (Spiral-bound)
"Just order what you wish and it will be brought to you" ? HUH? Where is this writer living? In some fantasy world? Or a world of being spoiled and silly? Sounds to me as if some child wrote this. To me, it sounds like one of those ridiculous magic spells many other writers are trying to pass off to solve little NORMAL problems in life. Life is a gift! The universe is centered around specific universal laws, not around people who claim to demand anything from it. If someone works within the laws of the universe and for the good of the whole, then what is put out will return, but not always in the way they think it should. No human being can claim themselves to be enlightened until they have fulfilled the laws of the universe themselves. Yes what 'goes around comes around' and yes we all 'reap what we sow'. If people would be more concerned with the needs of others instead of constantly being all wrapped up in themselves and what they want or think they are entitled to, the entire planet would be better for it. Cleaning up one's own mistakes in life are far more important than going through life as if one is going to a "restaurant" and expecting to be served simply because one asks and thinks they personally deserve it.
