Great Inspirational Book!!!, August 9, 2007
This review is from: Suzanne Lantana: A Collection of Short Stories, Fiction and Non-Fiction (Paperback)
My wife and I both got separate copies of this book. We truly enjoyed reading this book. We both found it to be a great inspirational book for anyone who may read this particular genre. Through the writer's eyes we can see what she was trying to capture within her book, through her characters. We as readers love how she brings out her faith in God and how you get a sense of how down to earth the author is.
In one story titled The Worse loss , it was about the author and how she lost her aunt Arlene T. Babakitis on September 11th 2001. We got the author's perspective of how that day went for her and what was going on around her. We got the sense from reading of course there was more to it, but what we truly enjoyed is her style of writing. It is in no way to scare a child or teen learning more about it. She gives such a positive outlook to let loved ones know that their loved ones are there for them no matter what and she sends her love and prayers to all.
Another story we truly enjoyed was titled: Suzanne Lantana's Last Night Dream. We loved how she expressed life and beauty, and how a colorful tree named the Whispering Willow made such an impact to the dream in a beautiful positive way. Teaching Suzanne about life , love and virtue. We love the meanings within each story and what it carries.
This is a book that we think and feel is wonderful for any age to read, but definitely for the ages of 8-13. It lets them know that no matter what in life, someone is always there for them and that they will make it through anything. To give the message that positive will always overcome the negative . Especially with your faith in God. These short stories are fantastic and we can not wait to read more to come from this author.
