This review is from: Suzanne Valadon (Universe Series on Women Artists) (Paperback)
This book is unfortunately no longer in print but is an excellent introduction to the important work of artist Suzanne Valadon. Valadon was a self-taught artist at a time when being born poor (as she was) and being born female precluded life as a successful artist. Suzanne's talent and unique style were recognized by her fellow artists (the artist Edgar Dégas was an admirer and purchaser of her work)and she achieved artistic success and led a colorful life as well. A must-read for any serious art student.
