Suzanne Vega is a singer/songwriter from New York. This book is subtitled 'Songs', as it primarily consists of all of the lyrics for Suzanne Vega's published songs up through her third album, 'Days of Open Hand'. There are also artsy photographs, and the book begins with an essay and ends with an interview. If this sounds like a book you would like to read, though, check out Suzanne's later and much more complete collection, 'The Passionate Eye'.(Suzanne's lyrics are always worth reading, if you are not someone who can pick up all their details listening to her albums...if you haven't heard her songs, you should probably start with her CDs though, as her music is quite lovely as well.) |
