This book is a great addition to any library of service manuals. It is written with the do-it-yourselfer in mind. The books only downfall is that if you are a 600 Katana owner all of the subject matter pertaining to this bike has been condenced into one chapter. This makes it hard to look up various subject matter because the sub-chapters are not indexed. This book also does not cover some of the indepth tear down procedures on different aspects of the Katana. A factory manual will still need to be referenced. Be also prepared to look in multiple sections for the order of assembly or dissassembly of different procedures. Overall this book is a great help in the servicing, repair and maintenance of your motorcycle
