I have the previous version of this Haynes manual...

This guide has been useful for simple, intermediate, and complex tasks. I started maintaining and modding my SV with absolutely no mechanical experience. Having a resource like this has given me the confidence to tackle just about any kind of repair or modification. I've found good tips for basic services such as bleeding the brakes and oil changes, and smart detail for more involved projects.

It's well organized, simple to understand, and detailed where it needs to be. The massive amount of pictures is a tremendous help. I highly recommend the Haynes manual. Great investment.

Excellent write up w/easy to follow instructions for people with limited mechanical skills. I highly recommend this book for SV owners.

After looking through the book a couple of times, it looks very thorough. Everyone recommends Haynes and I'm glad I went with it.

well written with lots of pictures. a must have for anyone trying to service their own SV650.

As with all Haynes manuals, it is complete and very helpful for those that want to maintain their own vehicle, or just know what the mechanic is up against. It does take a while to become accustomed to the "UK English" terms, but that is part of the charm of the book.

This really helped me out with the oil changes and gettin my bike back on matenence schedule. Gives really detailed pictures and very helpful tips.

Not being a full on Gear Head, I bought this book to supplement the Owner's Manual for basic repairs, etc. It is a very good book, but it lacks some more finite details for the absolute beginner. With enough resources on the internet to complement what the book doesn't show in pictures/descriptions, it is a great resource.

I'm sure if you already understand how to tinker with your toys, then this book might be a bit more resourceful.
