Product Description

Suzuki TT Superbikes features more than 50 vehicles from all over the world, and includes the world famous 37.73 mile Isle of Mann racetrack. For the highest level of realism possible, the course itself has been mapped using data supplied by the government and data captured by the development team. In addition to the traditional racing, the game also features a "Mad Sunday" mode that brings riders from all over the world to test their chops on the mountain. Supplementary modes, such as two-player split-screen and sidecar multiplayer are also included, as are bikes from all classes -- from 125cc all the way to the F1 1000ccs!

The modeling of the 37-mile TT course is amazing, the bike dynamics are very good, and the whole game is very well thought out in general. I recommend finding some of the unlock codes available on the web, as the seemingly endless 1-2 minute time trials to unlock subsequent events become very tiresome. Other than that, no negatives - this thing is amazing. I can't imagine how many hours were spent modeling the course and adding the unbelievable amount of detail. You can even ride the course backwards, if you want!

The game is tough to master, even in "novice mode", but I think that's very fitting for this type of event - just imagine how hard the real thing would be!

Outstanding!

A big thank-you to the software developers - well done!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Game, November 18, 2005
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars

Fun game, realistic play. Hard and challenging at first but easier once you get the hang of it. Sidecar is the hardest overall until you learn how to brake and when to also.

In order to unlock new tracks on the arcade mode you must place 1st in the top ones. So do not get frustrated if you get second and the other does not unlock.

For the new price it is definately worth it!

Most fun part is the trial sections, you must complete certian obsticles to unlock more things.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Simulation/Game, January 15, 2006
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Suzuki Superbikes (Video Game)
I'm surprised to see criticism of this game elsewhere; may be it helps to be an Isle of Man TT enthusiast, but even without that this is a great motorcycle race simulation game.

My yardstick for comparison with other games of this type is Moto GP2. In my opinion the dynamics of TT are superior. The visual display is very close to the on-bike footage from the TT videos. Interaction with other bikes on the track is also superior to GP2 as are engine sounds.

Initially this appeared to be a very difficult game to play. The track is narrow and speeds, as in the real event, are enormous; blind turns abound. However you get a great deal of help at the novice level. The AI rolls off the throttle, brakes and downshifts for you, but you still appear to retain a measure of (mis)control. You are allowed to bounce off the scenery quite a bit before actually crashing, but it is done in such a way that your heart rate will soar whilst the illusion of hurtling around the TT course for real is not destroyed. The AI keeps you in the game until your skills develop.

On top of everything else you have to applaud the care that has gone into modelling the TT course. Whether your reference is a real life visit to the IoM or the videos it is hard to imagine anyone else topping this effort.
