Excellent monograph on superlative architect's work,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sverre Fehn (Hardcover)
Sverre Fehn is one of the most poetic and powerful architects alive, largely unknown to the American community until his winning the Pritzger Prize two years ago. This excellent monograph, by his close friend, reviews his entire career and shows his most important works very well, and Norberg-Schulz places him in the context of his time and place, making the work even more accessible. Architects, and lovers of the art, should be much more aware of major works like the Glacier Museum or Villa Busk, and this book provides the opportunity!

This is the best book on one of Norways greatest living architects. Norwegian Architecture reached maturity in his hands. Grewing into a fresh architectural style, for the first time independant from her sister states. Buy this book!

Fehn has created some of the best post Corb works of architecture and this comprehensive monograph is an excellent primer for those who have either discovered his work or have yet to do so. But don't just read the book - visit Hamar and experience one of the most subtle reincarnations of an historical building.
