This Swagman lock is a generic hitchpin lock. It is not designed for the XTC Cross Country 2-bike Hitch Mounted Carrier. The XTC requires a threaded hitch pin lock made by Swagman.

This lock was advertised as an accessory to the Swagman XC2 Bike Rack. It does not fit the rack's receiver; which is a threaded bolt.

If you have the Swagman XTC 2 and 2 inch hitch you will need the Swagman Locking Hitch Pin model # 64027 if you have the smaller hitch then you will need #64029. That's why this hitch pin doesn't work on the Swagman XTC 2. It has threads and need the Locking Pin made for it. Call the Swagman Company if you need more help.

NOT able to be used with a Swagman bike carrier. the Swagman bike carrier I purchased has a threaded hole and it is NOT COMPATIBLE with this pin. Only part is worth it is the locking part, which fits the standard pin to make it a lock.
I should get 50% of my money back.

This bike rack is great it is easy to use and holds the bike/bikes securly! The pin which holds it to the hitch screws in tightly which makes it not an easy remove when needed to remove. I pull a little trailer for trade shows so it takes time to change out! I did order the swagman locking pin recommended and it DOES NOT work. The pin is the same diameter! BUT doesn't have the threads which the screw has. This makes the pin to thick to go through. Not sure why they market the 2 together. They should try putting the 2 together before they recommend it. I am using a lock through the hole in the pin/screw to keep the rack safe.
The rack was easy for a "girl" to put together and even easier to lift the bike onto and secure it. BUT, if you have a woman's style bike it fits a bit differently I had someone bend the "bike hold on hook" so that it would clamp down and not hit the chain gaurd.

I'm giving this a 1 star, not because the product is but but because Amazon doesn't specify the diameter of the pin. It's 5/8" and the you might need a 1/2" if you buy the Swagman hitch mount bike rack. Take a look at Swagman's website to find out the correct lock to use.

This locking hitch pin works great with my receiver hitch. The only thing I worry about is down the road, the key hole may fill up with salt and road grime so I hope this doesn't become an issue. We'll see how it goes. Otherwise it fits good and the key mechanism is nice.

Does not fit Swagman Bike Rack - it uses a threaded hitch pin. How do I return it?

It should not be displayed with the "Swagman 3 Bike Fold Down 2 Inch Receiver" as frequently bought together...I assumed they were to be used together. The lock works great but I cannot use it with the bike carrier. Total waste of money and time for me.

It is good quality but it don't fit the hole of bicycle rack when they offer it buy together. It is only fit the hole of the hitch only.
