A SWAN IN HEAVEN,
This review is from: A Swan in Heaven: Conversations Between Two Worlds (Paperback)
This book is an exhilarating look into the afterlife and has enforced my belief that we are not really gone when we die, but truly in a better place. It is comforting to know that someday I will be reunited with those I have loved in the past.

Not the top resource for a person suffering loss,
By Louise (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Swan in Heaven: Conversations Between Two Worlds (Paperback)
As a bereaved mother, I read this book with interest. I found the communications to be extremely deep. I'm glad they were helpful to some, but I did not find this book helpful to me.
The descriptions of the intensity of the verbal abuse by Danny's stepfather was painful to read. As a nurse and counselor for others who have suffered the loss of their precious child, I would never recommend this as a resource to someone in early loss. There are many, many books that are more helpful to help grieving parents in their early grief journey. This book details a excruciatingly painful journey for one mother and her stated after-death communications with her son. A newly bereaved parent feels desperately alone after the death of their child; if they were not receiving 'communications' from their child, the desperation could be excessive and they might feel somehow lacking. I believe this book is better for a bereaved person further along in their grief journey, when they can read such a painful book without falling into desolation and despair. Reading this book when personal balance is somewhat more restored would allow more discernment of separating someone else's painful journey from their own painful days. I would not recommend this book as a resource in a grief help library.

I have always felt there is an after life but this really confirms it in the most clear and loving way. The author's conversations with her son makes me know that I will feel nothing but joy when I come to facing my own or loved ones passing. Thank you for the heart warming sharing of your beautiful boy.

Danny's Insights,

A Swan in Heaven: Conversations Between Two Worlds
Danny speaks through Terri in ways that are both wise and simple. He reminds me of eternal truths and the challenges of daily living, and shows me the way that the former can make the latter honest and uplifting. He addresses grief, unfairness, fear, and shows me how to find hope, contentment, and joy. And he does it all in the most loving way, speaking directly to my heart. I recommend this book to anyone seeking a guide on life's path.

conversations,
This review is from: A Swan in Heaven: Conversations Between Two Worlds (Paperback)
This book is a wonderful testament to the spirit that resides in us all. Having had experiences with loved ones who have moved on, this book reminds me that I am in constant communication with them and that I only need to be still and listen. The author's conversations with her son are remarkable and insightful.

Remembering Danny,
By
This review is from: A Swan in Heaven: Conversations Between Two Worlds (Paperback)
An emotional journey of the heart and spirit, this book defies gravity. In my work with others who experience loss, I will be sure to put this read at the top of the list when recommending resources. As Danny's journey beyond continues and his mother heals, he says, "Remember that you are of Heaven... This will keep you open and ventilated". I think A Swan in Heaven will keep readers open and ventilated as well. An inspiration for healing and grace, if not a leap of faith.

Approach with an open mind,

This review is from: A Swan in Heaven: Conversations Between Two Worlds (Paperback)
Terri Daniel is a grieving mother who can communicate with her deceased son. That might seem like a wishful fantasy unless you've studied a bit about after death communication, quantum physics, the current scientific understandings of the workings of the human mind and black holes. If you studied all that stuff then you might say "hey this is possible". If you've lost a child you'd understand it further. If you're a parent of a disabled child who you had to learn to communicate with any way you could you'd certainly connect with this ability. Terri lived through the slow neurological degeneration of her wonderful son having to learn to communicate with him telepathically before his physical death. She then discovered the inspiring old soul that he was and with him has brought forth lessons from this life and the eternal life that we all live.
Keep an open mind and enjoy. Recommended for grieving parents, parents of the disabled and dying and women who are trying to leave an abusive relationship. I'd recommend this book to anyone who wants to know a little bit more about where they fit into the universe. Peace and Love, Jules

Life changing book,
By Sean Kenney (San Francisco, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Swan in Heaven: Conversations Between Two Worlds (Paperback)
After reading this beautiful story, channeled to the author by her son who is now in heaven, my girlfriend and I began meditating and focusing on cleansing our chakras and opening up our souls to the spirit world. Almost immediately I began to feel a peace when I meditate, and she has already felt the presence of beings from the other side! This book is not only changing our lives, but is bringing us closer together. Amazing and life changing!

I recommend this book not only for those who have had loved ones pass away, but for anyone who has ever suffered from verbal abuse. Reading A Swan in Heaven is an extremely empowering experience, and it helped me find meaning in some of life's most painful moments.

Much Wisdom,

In this book, Terri Daniel, a marketing communication specialist now living in Oregon, states that soon after her son Danny died at age 16 of a degenerative metabolic disorder she began receiving messages from him.
"I wasn't really there during those hours," Danny told Terri of his last day on the earth realm in response to Terri's concern that she did not spend the last few hours by his side. "I was barely attached to that body, and I was experiencing the most beautiful sensations of release." He said it was if he were on "autopilot" during those last few hours and that his soul was already gone. Danny went on to explain that he felt like a baby bird emerging from an egg as more and more light penetrated the egg. Terri also had concerns about her decision to cut off life support and the feeding tube when it became clear that the end was near. She wondered if he was in pain toward the end and whether he was hungry during that time. "No, starvation doesn't hurt for a person who's ill and ready to die," Danny assuaged her guilt. "It actually brings one to higher consciousness. I didn't feel any pain at all." Subsequent messages offered much wisdom as Danny shed light on Terri's marital struggles before his death and otherwise counseled her. "Some people might look at this from the ego view and say it was the worst ten years of your life," Danny told her. ""But you and I both know that it was the best. Because you see the gratitude and purpose. You listened to your Higher Self and guides." Danny further explained that pain is necessary to stimulate change and promote soul growth. All are part of the plan one chooses before incarnating. He said that when a soul chooses its life's plan before birth and decides to take on a sick body to hasten the lessons, it seems very insignificant at the time. "Once we get to earth and are subject to human emotions and egos, it all changes," he said. "Suddenly a life with no legs doesn't seem like such a good idea anymore. We've lost the elevated perspective from Heaven, and suddenly there is judgment, pain, fear...the whole human experience, which is exactly why we incarnated in the first place, so we could be motivated by that experience to expand and grow." The profound wisdom offered by Danny throughout the book combines with the story of Terri's difficult journey through Danny's final years and after to make it a very interesting, informative, intriguing, and inspiring read. |
