I ordered this and the matching earrings at the same time without ever having seen them in "real life." I was hoping that they would be pretty. I was not disappointed. As soon as I opened the box, I said, "Ooooooh!"
The pendant shines mostly purple and blue colors and it really picks up the light and has long facets along all the edges. The crystal is 3/4 inch square. In case you were wondering, the crystals on the earrings are 9/16 of an inch square. So this is bigger and the frame is wider (about 3/16" versus 2/16" for the earrings.)

As you can see from the photo, the bale is round. It is a 1/2 inch round ring, but it doesn't leave a lot of room at the top for a big chain (as the ring must sit in the corner of the crystal.) I have mine on a thin chain because I thought it set off the pendant better anyway (you have to supply your own chain.)

Just like the earrings, the back of the crystal is plain silver, sort of like a mirror. I don't know what this material is on the back (sterling foil? silver leaf? paint?) but it must serve to reflect the light back through the crystal facets. I am storing mine in the box it came in to prevent any scratching of this backing (even though I am not sure it will indeed scratch, I don't want to take a chance.)

Overall, the pendant and earrings are very different and sparkly. I receive many compliments and questions ("Where did you get those?!?) every time I wear them.

I bought the earrings that match this necklace, and together they make a unique and beautiful set. I receive compliments on them every time I wear them, and the colors look amazing with almost anything I wear.

This beautiful pendant was a very pleasant surprise when I received it in it's well packed, pretty silver box.
I have received numerous compliments in the few days I have been wearing it and everyone loves it!
I loved it so much I also ordered the matching earrings. A must have if you order this pendant.

This pendant is AMAZING as in the name. I thought it very unusual and very attractive. I am very glad that I ordered the earrings at the same time. It is really a nice set and I would recommend it for a gift to anyone that likes something different and eye catching. Well worth the purchase price.

After reading other reviews about the sparkle and brilliance of this piece, I decided to purchase. It's pretty, but not something I would say was extraordinary or brilliant. It didn't have much sparkle to it at all. I do, however, like the shape and the color of the piece quite a bit - so that wasn't a deal breaker. This doesn't sparkle like other Swarovski crystal items I have seen, so don't expect to be blown away by that.

I bought the Square Vitrial Light Crystal Pendant and Earrings to make a set like many other reviewers and I have to agree that they make a fantastic set. My order was processed quickly, delivery was rapiid and the Pendant and Earrings look great. I'm very pleased wiht this purchase and would shop with Gem Avenue again!

This charm was quite pretty until the back which is coated with something silver started to peel off?? It hasn't peeled off entirely. However, where it has makes it see through. Eventually,I believe it will deteriorate. Unfortunately, although this item arrives pretty, it won't have a long life unless you seal it in a shadow box!

3 and a half months of use, and the coating on the back is gone. I have other Swarovski crystals and this is by far the most disappointing. With no coating on the back the color of the stone is very pale and faded.

This Sterling Silver Square Vitrial Light Swarovski Crystal pendant is simply beautiful. I saw it in a retail store in my home town and loved it, but the piece it was in was too large and expensive for me. What I really wanted was just the pendant, and I found it on Amazon at Gem Avenue. It is a stunning pendant, and I love wearing it. The service from Gem Avenue was excellent.

This pendant is fabulous and goes with everything....beautiful colors match everything. The photo doesnt do it justice and I was very happy that it arrived so quickly. Thanks Gem Ave!!!
