I bought this watch as a gift for my oldest daughter. She absolutely LOVED it, which means, I loved it. After just a couple of months, we noticed the white band was yellowing, and stained very easily. Month four...the clasp breaks. I buy a part from a Swatch dealer locally, and replace the clasp. It's plastic, so I guess to be expected after a while. Month six...one of the buttons on the side just crumbles. It just simply disintegrated. No bumps, no hard strikes against another object, nothing. It just simply fell apart. I contacted Amazon...who usually has top-notch customer service and a fantastic return policy...and explained the situation. They informed me that the watch does in fact have a two year warranty, but I would need to contact Swatch directly. No problem. I contacted Swatch, and they not so politely informed me that Amazon was NOT an authorized Swatch seller, and therefore any watch bought from Amazon.com was not warrantied. That's right...no warranty. I tried to explain to them that the seller was actually MyTimePiece.com, but was sold through the Amazon website. Again...I was rather rudely informed that NO seller of Swatch watches was authorized to sell ANY watch on Amazon.com, and that I was, in fact, possibly in possession of a forgery, and that I would need to surrender the watch (!!!). I contacted Amazon again, and was told that they could not help me, and that I would need to contact the seller directly. SO...I called MyTimepiece.com, and explained the situation. They said that they had never heard of such a fiasco, and that they are a Swatch Certified seller. After a very brief conversation with customer service, I was issued a return authorization, and was told that they would check it out.

Three weeks later, I followed up with a phone call to customer service, and was pleasantly surprised to be speaking with the very same person (Alan)that I spoke with originally. He remembered my name, and immediately gave me the status of my daughter's watch. They did in fact have it, it would be a warranty repair due to factory defect, and they were awaiting the parts to repair it.

Two weeks later, I received a phone call from MyTimepiece customer service...the same individual...stating that Swatch had discontinued this model, and no longer had any parts to even repair it. He advised me that they would in fact be replacing the watch entirely, and all I needed to do was go to the Swatch website, and pick any watch I wanted, up to the Swatch listed price of this one ($120). I did so, called Alan back, and told him which one my daughter had picked out. Within 30 minutes, he called me back to confirm that the order had been placed, and we would receive our replacement watch within a couple of weeks.

THIS is what customer service is all about!! I would hesitate to buy this watch, due to the fact that if (when) it breaks, you are quite possibly out of luck. However...I would NOT hesitste to buy any watches from MyTimepiece.com. In fact, they will be my FIRST choice due to the customer service and individualized attention I received from them.

This is a beautiful watch. I love the size of the face but as it is a men's watch the band may be a bit too large for some. I use the very last buckle adjustment when I don't want it to flip on my wrist. The instructions for use and setting were easy to follow and it runs perfectly. I work in water and am also constantly washing my hands so I wanted something with some water resistance and so far have not had any problems although I have been careful not to completely submerse it. It is a great piece for the $...very stylish and comfortable for a great price. I love the plastic band, very substantial and durable and easy to keep clean and as I've already said...it is gorgeous.
