The Swatch Story
In the mid-1970s, the Swiss watch industry was in the midst of its worst ever crisis after facing stiff competition from Japanese-made brands. The Swatch brand was launched in 1983 with the original Swatch quartz watch, a slim plastic timepiece with only 51 components that combined top quality with a highly affordable price. Today, after sales of over 200 million watches, the Swatch Group has grown to include brands such as Omega, Longines, Rado, Mido, and Pierre Balmain as well as the original Swatch brand. The name "Swatch" is often misconstrued as a contraction of the words "Swiss Watch," but Nicolas Hayek, Chairman of the Swatch Group, affirms that the original contraction was "Second Watch."

Designed for the fashionable, urban man, the Swatch Men's Full Blooded Black Watch is a striking chronograph timepiece. The black, stainless steel wristband, along with the handsome dial of the same color, is sure to stand out on your wrist and will be an instant conversation piece. The diaphanous case offers a unique, modern touch while the dial features a chronograph and white crystal hour indexes for a clean, minimal look. A calendar displaying the day of the month is placed discreetly between eight and nine o'clock. The scratch-resistant dial window protects from daily wear and tear. The adjustable wristband features a fold-over enclosure. The Men's Full Blooded Black Watch is powered by Swiss-made ETA quartz movement and is water resistant up to 100 feet (30 meters).

Oh my gosh, this watch is BEAUTIFUL!! The picture again, does it NO JUSTICE!! I bought this for my boyfriend right after I purchased the same watch in gold for myself. Both are beautiful, but this black one is absolutely breath taking!! It's shiny and very elegant looking where as the gold one is more gaudy and bold. I love it. Totally worth the price. Plus, it's $50. bucks less than from [...].

Purchased this for my nephew's high school graduation gift. The watch in the general is really great looking and has a solid feel. The product looks much more expensive than what it really is, and it's nice to see a $40 difference in price between amazon and other sites. The only sad part is after the kid sees the watch and loves it and goes "who exactly is Swatch", oh you crazy kids today.

Not what I expected,

The hinges on the case was damaged when I first received this watch. The watch is very light weight and the buttons on the chronograph are hard to push. Didn't want to return it so I just gave it to my father. Isn't as elegant as I thought it would be due to the clear, plastic material used on the face of the watch.
