Informative little book with lots of evocative pictures of the land, the people in ceremonial dress, everyday life and the economy. A chapter on history looks at the Boers, eventual independence and lots of detail on the royal family. The author then looks at religion, education, art, wildlife and the cities. Despite being aimed at 9-12 yr olds, this is of interest to the adult armchair traveler too!
