I was leery of ordering this because of the lack of reviews. I remembered seeing it on Rachel Ray and I watched that video again of the firefighter. It was priced well so I thought I would give it a shot. It does burn and sting on the night of application. You have to just take it easy and go to sleep. I actually used it on my face as I have an embarrassing facial sweating problem. Whether I am working out or going to lunch with the girls, my face sweats all my makeup off. I have had this problem for years and am very embarrassed by it. The company recommends for armpits only, but people have been known to use it for other areas. My skin was not sensitive to it and it usually is sensitive to everything! The next morning and the following week I was amazed. No sweat at all. I didn't even break a sweat when I worked out or my daughter was screaming in the grocery store. I did have a little dryness, which was quickly solved with a small amount of sensitive skin oil free oil of olay face lotion 1 application. It is definitely worth trying. I am afraid something will happen and it will go away. Seems like everything I like stops being sold. I think I will buy a years supply just to be safe.

Of all the reviews I have ever left on Amazon, this one has to be not only one of the earliest postings after receiving the product, but also one of the most satisfying to write. I want to start off by saying that surprisingly, I don't sweat under my arms excessively, ever. In fact I don't really sweat under my arms at all. I can work outside all day and use some dollar store brand of anti perspirant and come away at the end of a hot day with at the most, a slight dampness under my arms. It's truly the only place on my body where I don't sweat. I wouldn't have any use for this product if that was the end of the story, but its not. My problem is sweating on the face and forehead. Even in a situation where it is rather cool and dry and everyone around me seems to be comfortably settled in with dry hair and faces, it at times can be pouring off me, sometimes relentlessly, for hours even. Anyone that has ever had such a problem well knows how embarrassing and unsightly this can be. Any "solution" to the problem in the past ran the gamut of stuffing my pockets with paper towels to just making excuses for not showing up for some event or whatever when you know its going to be unbearably hot. Over the years I have tried many drug store brands of so called super powered sweat controlling anti perspirants just to have them be relentlessly ineffective and a waste of money. It is, and has been a problem that I thought up till now had no solution. Then I discovered Sweat Block..

Sweat Block, (SB) has been so effective for me for this problem that it almost qualifies as a miracle drug. In fact its only by the favor of excessive sweating never actually killing anyone that keeps it out of that miraculous category. SB is nothing more than some highly concentrated formula of aluminum chloride or something or other that is found in many anti perspirants. But trust me, the similarity ends there. They don't work,....This does, fantastically. The box comes with 8 sealed towelettes that are soaked with the formula that you tear open and dab on your skin. It's clear, near odorless, and dries in a jiffy. Just to get the facts straight, SBs instructions clearly state that it's for "underarms only". But after reading the dazzling reviews of this stuff here I just couldn't resist. I figured the worst that could happen is that I would lose $20 and end up looking like the sweating slob I always do under the mildest of conditions. From the very first morning after applying it, it was obvious that this stuff was as superbly effective as most of the glowing reviews here attest too. I simply stopped sweating, period. When pushed to the limit of activity or heat, a slight dampness or "sheen" would appear on my face that was not at all long lasting, nor embarrassing. I felt like a new man. I have been actually going out of my way to sweat and enjoying the dryness that I am so unfamiliar with. It is important that you use this product as described in the directions. Your underarms/head should be dry, and remain dry for at least 3 hours after application. (Which is the reason why they recommend applying it just before bed). Given these simple rules, I can only tell you this stuff is as effective and satisfying as anything I can ever remember purchasing in a personal hygiene category. As for being a renegade and using it on my forehead and face as opposed to my underarms, I can only tell you that personally I have suffered absolutely no tingling, redness, rash, or anything else detrimental with my alternative use. Despite Sweat Blocks explicit but simply stated warning that its for underarm use only, I feel compelled to recommend it to anyone that suffers such a problem as I do. (And I know I am far from alone with it). It's worth a shot and one time expense, I promise you.

One last helpful hint. As stated already, SB comes in sealed packets as a moist towelette. I don't know if its that my forehead or face is smaller than a pair of underarms, or that I am just cheaper than the average Joe in trying to use the towelettes twice. But in any event, I have learned that dabbing my face with the pads and then just resealing the still moist towelette inside the packets again tightly with tape or a paper clip has afforded me double the use of each pad, with no reduction in its effectiveness. I simply tear open the packet, apply, reseal it, and then use the same towelette 5 days later and one box lasts near 16 weeks instead of 8. (Like a lot of others here, I like the 5 day rule of reapplication instead of the promised seven, just to make sure). This may not work for all people depending on how bad your sweating problem is. But for me personally, double use has just added an extra smile of satisfaction to an already stunningly effective product. This cost saving (cheap) test run on yourself may be very much worth trying as well. In conclusion, whether your problem with sweating is on your face or head, or just the sentimental favorite underarms, I give Sweat Block my highest recommendation. This product has been a Godsend to me, and it just may be to you too... : )

I bought this for my 13 year old daughter who literally CRIED when she had to wear her school polos because her sweating made awful rings (and she was miserable). She had tried prescription antiper., natural methods ([...]) over past year and nothing came close to working. As a family we have tried really hard to limit the usage of aluminum products on our bodies (only using antiper. during summer months) due to health risks but for this daughter, she was getting severely depressed over it. She said it worked perfectly for a week the first couple times but now it's working for about 5 days but still, NO SWEAT. She loves it and she makes sure I don't forget to order it. Miracle for those suffering from severe sweating.

I used this as directed, and I still sweat like crazy. Honestly, I was hoping this would at least put a dent in my hyperhidrosis problem, alas, my armpits are still plagued with sweat.

I wouldn't write it off if you haven't tried it yet, it might work for you, it just didn't do anything for me.

My armpits sweat when it's cold, hot, you name a temp./humidity/activity level and my pits will sweat in it. If you are like me, then chances are, this won't help you either... but then, if you are like me, you'll try it any way just to make sure you've tried everything.

I am so freaking excited to say this stuff works! I went years being embarrased because everytime I got the littest bit stressed I would profusely sweat... it was ridiculous! When I picked out shirts the one (only) criteria was 'how bad will it show the sweat', which is just sad. The night I applied my arm pits just felt a little ichy but since you're doing it at bed time you just fall asleep anyway and by the time I woke up it just felt normal. I didn't get a rash which is amazing because I have sensitive skin. I did my usual thing all morning and kept expecting to have wet spots under my arms, but didn't, then I went to work and it still didn't happen! I was SO EXCITED, you have no idea! Give it a try -- you won't be disappointed.

After reading the few reviews this product has I thought "What the heck? It's worth a try." I ordered this product 3 wks ago and it's worked like a charm. The first week I used it, it kept me from sweating the full week, although towards the end of the week it did start wearing off a little. There was one or two days when I did sweat a tiny bit, but it was nothing compared to how I use to sweat in these hot summer Cali days.

I love this product so much that I decided to give a friend a couple packs. She couldn't believe how wonderful this product is and how great it works. I thank God so much for finally finding something that made the sweat stop.

One thing I do want to mention is that I noticed that if I apply it every 5th day it works better than waiting til day 7 to reapply it.

Although this product might not work for everyone, I definitely think that it's worth a try. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone who has been tormented with this horrible problem of excessive sweating.

I rarely write reviews but this product has been life changing. I feel like I have tried every over the counter anti-perspirant and a couple of clinical ones and nothing has reduced excessive perspiration. My casual wardrobe has been mostly dark colors to hide under arm sweating and I rarely removed my suit jacket at work.

I tried Sweat Block and could not be happier with the efficacy of the product. Sweat block was easy to apply, albeit a little more effort than a typical anti-perspirant stick or gel. (You have to dab a wet towlette under your arm and let air dry). However, with that said, the results have been phenomenal. Dryness for 7 to 8 days and minimal wetness in moderate to heavy activity. Unbelievable. I am actually wearing clothing I have never been able to wear before because of underarm sweat! After "suffering" with a problem that I thought only surgery might be able to solve (botox injections) this product has done the trick.

I sweat profusely on my face, and always have. It didn't matter if it was 50 degrees and I was moving around, or if it was 80 degrees and I was standing still in the shade. I work in customer service, so it's always been really embarrassing to have sweat running down my face when I'm just standing there helping a customer. I'm on my first week of Sweat Block, and so far it's worked wonders. I know that it specifies under arm usage, but the first wipe I used, I ran it all over my face, behind my neck, and on my throat. I have extremely sensitive skin, so I was nervous, but the only reaction I had was a slight 'tightness' and a very slight prickling sensation the next morning. This week has been in the 90s, and I've actually been able to put my makeup on and keep it in place! I've also noticed that since I've barely had any sweat on my face and neck, I don't feel as hot. Go figure. I can feel myself getting flushed and warm, but when I reach up to my face and neck, there's barely any dampness there at all. I always research products before I buy them, but seldom get around to writing reviews. This has worked so well for me that I wanted to let others in my situation know that there is an alternative to constantly looking like you've been running a marathon, especially when everyone else around you looks cool and dry! I'm really grateful that I found this product, and I intend to keep using it!

***UPDATE***I have been using SweatBlock for nearly a month now. Unfortunately, after the first use, which was incredible, the product ceased to work for me. I haven't done anything different when applying to my face each week, so I'm not sure exactly what the issue is. The end of the first week, the product started to wear off, so I applied as I had the first time. I'm really dissapointed, because it was wonderful not to constantly have to wipe the sweat from my face and neck. I still have 4 pads left, but I don't think I'll bother applying any more...

As my title says, I was VERY skeptical about using this product, I sweat A LOT, and I mean gallons of sweat, and never had tried anything for my issue. So I decided to look around for products and in Yahoo answers they recommended this one.

I had to try with one product first, so I just went ahead and purchased it.

Well, this darn thing worked, and I'm telling you, it worked for stopping A LOT of sweat.

I sweat just by playing video games in my computer, or if I get a little stressed out a work, bam! underarm sweat. No need to mention when I was playing volleyball all day. Not one drop. Not half a drop!

The toughest test: blowing insulation in my small, cramped attic. Sweat on my chest, back, neck, face. Not one drop in my underarms.

I have to say that seldom I'm so satisfied with a purchase, but this one is the purchase of the year for me, hands down.

I'm asking my wife to give me more Sweat Block packs for this Xmas, oh yes, I don't care if she feels embarrassed or what, hehe, it's SO worth it.

Anyone who suffers from excessive facial sweating knows that if they can find ANYTHING that gives some relief you would call it a miracle. I have suffered with this for so long and I know it's not just "hot flashes." Hello - men and teens suffer with it too. And I'm not hot all over - no excessive sweating anywhere else. Just my face and neck area. I have scoured the Internet looking for help. Some people even suggested anti-depressants and bladder control medication. Really? After reading some comments I tried Certain-Dri. Didn't do a thing for me except make my face nice and smooth so the sweat could really run off like a river rather than just bead up all over my face. Mind you, this is not just caused by physical activity. I can walk calmly into and around a store in the middle of winter when everyone is bundled up in coats and perfectly comfortable and I am just sweating profusely the whole time I'm there. It is so embarrassing. I'm sure people must wonder what in the heck is wrong with me. Before I retired I had to have a fan going at my desk directly into my face all the time I was at work. Then I read some of the reviews here on Amazon for Sweat Block and figured what do I have to lose? And, for me, it has truly been my Miracle. The day it arrived I put it on on a Thursday night before bed. No stinging or anything at all. The next two days were fine but I was still leery. Since we were going out of town to visit friends, I decided to give myself another dose "just in case" on Saturday night. The next morning I took a shower and put a little lotion on my face. No sweat yet - and you who suffer KNOW what happens when you shower and put lotion on. Then I ironed a couple of things, finished packing my suitcase, climbed all over the car to wrestle my grandson's car seat out and changed two cat boxes. And are you ready? STILL NO SWEAT!!! There was just a slight sheen between my nose and cheeks. That's it. And I did not have a single sweating episode the whole five days were were gone. You'd think I'd found a cure for cancer I was so excited. I suppose, like anything else, it won't work for everyone. Mind you, I still get just as hot but the embarrassing sweat is not there. And if that's the best I can do for this problem, then I am satisfied. If you are as miserable with the facial sweating as I am, at least give it a shot. It might just be your Miracle too!
