The Swede-O Deluxe Padded Night Splint is designed to provide relief during the night from the pain and discomfort of plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis. Swede-O Deluxe Padded Night Splint allows the patient to apply a consistent 90 degree angle stretch to the plantar fasciitis by holding the foot in a gentle dorsiflexion. A removable foam wedge insert is included for an additional 5 degree stretch on the plantar fascia. Designed to be worn during sleep or rest to help relieve pain from plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis. The soft gray padded cover provides patient comfort and protection against skin irritation. May be used on either foot. Gray in color. Sized according to shoe size as follows: Small for Mens shoe sizes 5-6 & Womens 4-6 ½, Medium for Mens shoe sizes 6 ½-7 ½ & Womens 7-8, Large for Mens shoe sizes 8-9 1/2 & Womens 8 1/2-10, X-Large for Mens shoe sizes 10-12 1/2 & Womens 10 1/2-12, XX-Large for Mens shoe sizes 13+ and Womens 12 1/2+.

I have a slightly wider than average foot for a woman, and that affected my ability to wear this splint. Although the splint is nicely padded and has nice straps to hold a foot securely, it doesn't leave enough space at the ball of the foot. I traded in plantar fascitis for pain at the ball of the foot. After several nights of waking up with what might be called bunion pain (but I don't have bunions), I gave up on this splint.

I have had plantar fasciitis off and on, but mostly on, for years. This is the fourth style of night splint I have tried, and it is the ONLY one I have been able to keep on all night. Even after just the first night, I could feel an improvement in my pain the next day. I am hopeful that this is going to be the answer for me to a very painful problem. Thanks for a great product at a reasonable price!
