This cured my strep throat after trying Tylenol sore throat and cold for 10 days. Then tried antibiotic (ammoxicillin) for 7 days. Then tried Tylenol sore throat and cold again for 8 days - had to stop because of sideeffects (upset stomache, diarhea). As soon as I stopped my second round of tylenol, my sore/ strep throat got so bad, I could't swollow anything except for liquids (that hurt to swollow too). I called my Dad and he said I should try rubbing my neck with castor oil, and swollowing a teaspoon of it on a full stomache. The thought of swollowing castor oil seemed gross to me (plus I did'nt have any at home), so I looked in my medicine closet, and saw the swedish bitters. I did'nt know what to do, but got an idea.
I mixed 1 teaspoon swedish bitters, and approx 1/2 cup warm water in a cup (I think cold is ok if your sore throat is not bad). Then I took a dropper and laid on my back (on sofa). I took some of the swedish bitter mixture with dropper, opened my mouth, stuck my tongue out and poured the mixture far down my throat in small amounts, swollowing often.
I did this in the evening, until the cup with the mixture was empty, then went straight to sleep (did't swallow or eat anything afterwards after I did this procedure). The next day I was feeling significantly better (I could'nt believe it). In the (2nd) evening I repeated this procedure again right before going to bed. I felt like the sore throat was gone the second morning; but towards, the evening, I felt a little pain in my throat coming back, so I did this procedure agian right before bedtime.
Third morning, I was cured of the sore throat. I could'nt believe it!!! So simple and fast, compare to the disgusting tylenole medicine, and 2x a day (bad for your health) antibiotics! Since that day I have never had a severe sore throat again, as soon as I feel a little pain, I do the procedure, and I'm cured next morning!!! This has worked for me and my family (5 yr old and 6 yr old children; I dilute the medicine a little more, and give them half the dose).
I highly recommend you try this for a sore throat, I think it will work for you too!!!
The only not so good thing about this procedure is that not everyone can swollow liquids while laying on their back (my sister tried this and almost barfed, but was cured next morning, and said she hopes she will never have to do this again in her life)! This mixture does taste a little bitter- but not even close as disgustingly bitter as the tylenol!; Plus you don't really taste the mixture much, because it only goes down the back of the tongue straight into throat. This is a lifesaver when you have a severe sore throat, and no insurance to go see the doctor; also cures sore throat very fast.

I was surprised by size bottle for such little price. I was paying the price for 4oz bottle
